Training - Safe Gulf Print

fSafe Gulf TrainingWalsh Offshore is a Safe Gulf Authorized Training Center

In June 2004 it was announced that BP, ChevronTexaco, Exxon Mobile and Shell had teamed up to develop "consistent, minimum health, safety and environmental (HSE) training requirements for the contractor community." After several years and the assistance from the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) and the Associated Safety Councils (ASC) the result is SafeGulf. Under SafeGulf all contractors must fulfill the minimum HSE training requirements prior to working on operator premises in the Gulf of Mexico. Starting July, 2005 the above mentioned operators will began asking for SafeGulf identification cards. Effective January 1st, 2006 SafeGulf identification cards will be mandatory to gain access to the operators facilities. The only way to obtain a SafeGulf identification card is to attend a SafeGulf Training class and successfully pass the required test which is given at the end of the class.

Walsh Offshore, Inc. is currently teaching SafeGulf at our facility in Metairie, La or we can teach at your location by special appointment. Please contact us at 1-800-468-7493 to inquire about your SafeGulf training needs.
